Multi Gen Household
Ok, so it's been a while...again. What can I say, I'm consistently inconsistent! Let's see, I've got a handful of updates if you're still interested.
- House is coming along nicely (pics to follow) and we will hopefully be moving in by the end of April! Our apartment lease ends May 15th, so I hope the timeline stays put!
- My sister and I have been concerned about our aging parents and I caught a wild hair and asked them to just move in with us. Mind blowingly, they said ok! So now we are working on plans to build an addition to the new house! It has been hectic but worth it. My husband and daughter are fully on board and I am actually really looking forward to all being under the same roof. They will mostly have everything they need in their "wing" of the house, so even though we will be all under the same roof, we really won't be sharing space on a regular basis. Good for all included I believe :)
- Changing GLP-1s because I managed to get the starter dose of Wegovy covered by insurance!!!! That will be a massive monthly savings. Insurance is so weird and annoying...why they would cover one brand over another is beyond me. But I am going to be optimistic that Wegovy will give me the same quiet mind as the Zepbound and hopefully sides effects I can tolerate! To update you, I am down to about 175 lbs! I finally really recognize myself in the mirror now! It is definitely a boost in confidence. After we move and get settled, I think I am going to start a ballet class with a friend! I really need to gain my strength back and that sounds like a fun way to do it...even if it will be in a leotard ;)
- I am still baking sourdough and am actually going to try a sourdough pie crust tomorrow because we are going to a Pie Day (3-14) party :) I wish I could say I was still doing pottery, but I have to rely on that class being a gift because it is just too darn pricey! But we did come out with a lot of very cool pieces from this last class. Feeling proud of the improvement in my skills. Really looking forward to one day having our own wheel!
- I went on this awesome annual retreat with 15 amazing women (I know crazy right?!) for the second time and had such a great time. I swear it is some version of Utopia. We got a little crazy this year and 4 of the women let me give them Hand Poke tattoos! It is quite addicting and now I want to give tattoos to everyone :) We followed all safety protocols and I used legit ink and tattoo needles.
OK now for some pics to make the post fun 😄
